Responsible Gambling

Reviewed 14 July 2026

WinSight is an 18+ football probability service. It is not a bookmaker and does not accept or place bets. Its predictions are informational only and are not betting advice.

No model removes uncertainty. Even a well-calibrated probability can lose, and past or backtested performance cannot guarantee a future result.

Keep gambling separate from prediction content

Do not treat a WinSight probability, confidence label, model rank, or correct-score pick as a promise of profit. If you choose to gamble, the decision and its consequences remain yours.

Never gamble to solve financial problems, recover previous losses, or change how you feel.

Practical safeguards

  • Set firm money and time limits before you start, and do not increase them after a loss.
  • Only use money you can afford to lose; never borrow or use money needed for bills.
  • Do not chase losses. Stop when your limit is reached.
  • Take regular breaks and keep gambling from replacing sleep, work, relationships, or other activities.
  • Avoid gambling when distressed, under pressure, or affected by alcohol or drugs.
  • Use bank blocks, operator limits, blocking software, or self-exclusion if you need stronger boundaries.

Signs that it may be causing harm

Consider stopping and seeking help if you notice any of the following:

  • spending more money or time than intended;
  • hiding gambling or being dishonest about losses;
  • borrowing, missing bills, or selling possessions to gamble;
  • feeling anxious, low, irritable, or unable to stop;
  • chasing losses or increasing stakes to feel the same excitement; or
  • harm to work, study, sleep, health, or relationships.

Independent help

You do not need to wait for a crisis. Independent organisations can support people who gamble as well as family and friends.

GamCare provides free, confidential support in Great Britain, including the 24-hour National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. GambleAware (the current site reached through BeGambleAware) provides advice, assessment tools, blocking information, and a directory of support services.

Outside Great Britain or in immediate danger

If you are outside Great Britain, contact a licensed gambling-harm service or health professional in your country. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact your local emergency service now.

Under 18

WinSight is not intended for anyone under 18. If you are under 18 and worried about your own or someone else’s gambling, speak to a trusted adult or use GamCare’s support for young people.
